Our Mission
To evangelize the un-churched in Richmond, Virginia and surrounding communities, the United States, and the world with the good news of Jesus
Christ; and to empower the people we serve with the knowledge of the Word of God so they can be equipped to build strong families and communities through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our Method
Through regular gatherings for Sunday worship, Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer, we will build capacity in our core leadership and membership so they will be strong in faith and ready to serve.
Through our weekly online radio broadcast (BICM Radio) we reach out to the Richmond, Virginia community and the world.
Through our specialty/seasonal workshops, seminars and revivals we teach, train, on subjects of interest to our church and our community, and celebrate seasons and events that bring joy and excitement to our lives.

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire
to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of ministry until we all attain
maturity in Christ.
Ian Jones, Senior Pastor
Pastor Jones is a teacher-leader with a passion for unpacking the truths of the Bible in simple yet meaningful ways. As the founding pastor he has lead this congregation for many years and has seen the lives of many changed by the power of God. He has had the joy of ministering overseas in Guyana (his native country), Canada, Africa, and the Caribbean, and seeing God do amazing things in the lives of people.

Virginia Jones, Associate Pastor ( R.N.)
Pastor Virginia is a passionate, caring minister who desires to see lives changed for the Kingdom. As wife of the senior pastor, she has served with him over many years. Her enthusiasm for God and people is infectious, and as a result, she has made a major impact on their lives of many through her generosity, patience, and love of service.
Associate Minister, Sylvia Anderson, M. S. in Clinical Psychology
Minister Sylvia is a dynamic worshiper and prayer warrior committed to the spiritual growth and well-being of the members of Message of the Cross Church and community alike. Her love and passion for God was birthed during High School and has grown consistently over the years. Minister Sylvia is a preaching minister and has also served in a number of other leadership roles at Message of the Cross Church (MOCC) to include Youth Director, Foreign Ministries Leader, Women’s Ministry Secretary, and Deaconess.

Dr. Walker is a trained minister with many years as a Bible preacher-teacher along with being a practicing clinical psychologist licensed in the States of Maryland and Virginia. He continues to serve in religious and social roles across the USA and other foreign countries.
